Joe Knopp is a New Jersey native and a Marine Corps veteran.  Kansas City became his home when he joined the ranks of the Kansas City Fire Department.  Creativity and a sense of accomplishment are his driving forces, so working with Creative Concepts & Design is a natural fit.  Besides serving the community and building decks, he enjoys sharing his interest of the arts with his daughter, whether it is listening to a jazz album or painting with water colors. Jim alone has been in construction for over 45 years – using his skills to create decks, remodel homes, and complete new construction projects. Rolf Odegard

Rolf was raised in Gladstone, MO and graduated from Oak Park HS 1980. He spent two years in Galveston, TX working in the oil industry and from 1982-1986 was a Navy Rescue Swimmer AMH Aircrewman. He graduated from Arkansas College of Tech. in 1989 and married his wife in 1989 – he feels luck every day she’s stuck with him over the years. Rolf and his wife have two children, Erik and Gabrielle. Rolf spent 17 years working for Straub Construction, he has graduated from the Associated Builders and Contractors and is skilled in carpentry, fork lift operation, man lifts, and more. He has completed the Advanced Course for Simpson Strong Tie Certification. Rolf attributes his successes to: Faith, a great wife, wonderful children, and a great country to live in.

Want to work with us?

Our carpenters are responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, layout, and construction of materials on all decks, pergolas, trellises, and enclosures on all assigned projects. All carpenters are required to maintain a high level of  professionalism.
